The Arrival (Preview)

lyrics

God willin’ there’s a rooster singin’
Cocka doodle at the end of the road
I’d sleep straight through another rising sun
If it weren’t for the cackle of the crow
Biddin’ me fair warnin’ of the task ahead
Countin’ off the crosses on my back
Throwin’ looks over the shoulder I chipped
After lookin’ over what I lack

Words are floatin’ through the air
Between my mother and the open door
She knew she had raised the greatest men alive
When we all marched into the war
Away from the peace of mind
Of a small town country side riddled with homes
We were met by the animal kingdom of the city
We would never have a chance at the throne

So we take what we know
And do with what we got
Until we got a substantial sound
To trumpet the arrival
The new found kings of style
Hell bent on being heaven bound
