Track Name: The Arrival
God willin’ there’s a rooster singin’ cocka doodle at the end of the road. I’d sleep straight through another rising sun if it weren’t for the cackle of the crow biddin’ me fair warnin’ of the task ahead countin’ off the crosses on my back. I’m throwin’ looks over the shoulder I chipped after lookin’ over what I lack.

Words are floatin’ through the air between my mother and the open door. She knew she had raised the greatest men alive when we all marched into the war away from the peace of mind of a small town country side riddled with homes. We were met by the animal kingdom of the city. We would never have a chance at the throne.

So we take what we know and do with what we got until we got a substantial sound to trumpet the arrival the new found kings of style, hell bent on being heaven bound.

So we take what we know and do with what we got until we got a substantial sound to trumpet the arrival the new found kings of style, hell bent on being heaven bound.

Track Name: Water Into Wine
I keep on spilling my water. Before it hit the ground it turned into wine. I keep on spilling my water. Before it hit the ground it turned into wine. Oh, there won’t be salvation for me , Lord, before my cup of holy water run dry.

I feel a burning in my soul. Hell’s kitchen cooking up a brew. I feel a burning in my soul. Hell’s kitchen cooking up a brew. Oh, they’ll all be waiting on hand and foot to stick me in the stew.

Oh Lord Jesus, save me from these walls that are closing in. Said, oh Lord Jesus, save me from these walls that are closing in. Satan lookin’ good in her platform heels and a blue dress. She wants to take me out for a spin.

Well, I’m itchin’ for a fix, Lord. Chompin’ at the bit, Lord. Nothing’s going to save me from myself unless you give a shit, Lord.

Track Name: Blood Sucker Blues
Verse 1: I try too hard and I think too much, for my own good, and for your own health. Putting salt in the wound of your emotional abortion, justifiable by case in proportion to the soul. There are some things that I just can’t control. She’d rather be knocked up than keep on knocking on my door. But if the science is right then this is just a compulsion, a convulsion of a bleeding heart tonight.

Chorus: What’s done is done and woman what we ended for you, for me has only just begun. But how I’d love to kiss you one more time before I go to war against the life I left behind.

Verse 2: How can we escape the inescapable? It’s just a wish on the basis of a broken rule, that one I tried to bend that has something about doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. In that case do me once do me twice do me until my throat is dry from the adrenaline that’s pumping, from the anger in your eyes. It seems my words go to the wayside of the tears that line my face, having all the…everything to take away your place.

(Chorus).

Bridge: Yeah, I’m a blood sucker, and I think I owe you a life without the awkward conversations that seem to glaze over every night.

(Chorus).

Track Name: Down South
Verse 1: I remember driving through the snow, sleet, and ice just to see your beautiful smile, and to know what it’s like to be loved, and stay in someone’s arms for a while.

Chorus: So now you’ve flown down south for the winter, and I’m that mocking bird that keeps on singing that lonely love song, at the foot of the tree where we used to kiss at night.

Verse 2: I remember the taste of cheaper wine than the kind that I drink to forget all those times that we’ve spent through the night hand in hand with no regrets (Chorus 2X).

Track Name: The Right to Remain
Verse 1: There’s a price tag on my head as I run away from God. I’m a trophy wanted dead or alive. My mother keeps on weeping as I run away from God to the river where I lay my darlin’ to die. It’s like a dagger to the throat and a foot stuffed in your mouth, and the remnence of a silver spoon on your tongue.

Chorus: So, do I have the right to remain? Do I have the right to remain? Do I have the right to remain, sitting here until the end of my days?

Verse 2: Well, it’s all I need to keep awake as I tear the photos apart of the memories that I thought would reveal some happiness to my surprise. But the result is just as I thought as I tear the photos apart. It’s just my sorrow and anger in disguise. It’s like a hammer and no nails, with a smile under a swelling face, with a prayer written in the blood that you happen to lose tonight.

(Chorus).

Bridge: So set my house ablaze. Declare my life erased, so says the man whose death was not in vein.

(Chorus).

Track Name: Family Ties
Verse 1: My older brother’s on the other side of the world, in the middle of another monsoon like the one we cleaned up after in the middle of October. It was two weeks before we lost our mother, two months before we lost our father, two months before the preacher past away.

Chorus: Oh Lord on high, save our family ties. Leave royalty alone.

Verse 2: My younger brother travelled North to find a life, under the banner of a lion, drinking whiskey despite the sirens of the law outside his chapel. They have no mind to ever question why they’re busting souls for merely attempting to forget the pain for which we all lay claim.

(Chorus).

Bridge: We’re each groping for a God to pull the blindfolds from our eyes, because there’s something left worth saving here when there’s nothing left to hide behind, like the masks that all our friends design to cover all the lines accumulated over time, the same lines we sing in prayer over the tombs where we still cry.

(Chorus).

Track Name: The Bridge
Chorus: Is your bridge under water? You’ve got to swim while your limbs are still limber. Shake the bark from your timber. Hinder all the neurosis and drink what you can until there’s no more at hand.

Verse 1: Wind, rain, sun, and sky. My, oh my! How it passes by too quickly. The symmetry of quaking at the imagery of taking every step in stride. Tonight, we fight to the tune of a crooner, much sooner than the other lovers’ summer, hanging over every thought that passes under.

(Chorus).

Verse 2: Dirt poor, but I’m dead rich. But all our paths are the same. Everybody has an itch. That little bit of something of nothing but a passing lasting past in the present state of time. It’s a crime to take a piss against the bliss that becomes a rising tide.

(Chorus 2X).

Track Name: Up, Down, Turn Around
Verse 1: The doctors are laughing and the French are unmoved by a sad diagnosis and a love that’s removed from a heart that has nothing but a dream and a dime while marching to the beat and clapping hands to keep the time. The doctors are howling at the burden of proof like a full moon in summer and a pain in your tooth. It’ll catch you on Sunday after vespers at noon, and the side effects will kill you more than death ever will.

Chorus: You don’t want to grow up, but you don’t want to get down. You don’t want me to leave, but you don’t want me around. So make a damn good decision just for once in your life. Give me what I deserve and leave me crying through the night.

Verse 2: I’m tired of waiting around like a clot, a blockage, an excuse to abuse with auburn locks. The pout of your lips whisper thoughts in my ear. My soul disappears into the current of your fear. Just live like it never happened just as if I’m still alive. Don’t waste another thought on what you could’ve done right as if you had a hand in throwing dirt on my grave. Stop being a slave to the peace that you crave. (Chorus 2x).

Track Name: Ice Breaker
Verse 1: There are things that remain to be seen on a cold winter’s night where we’ll plunge in despite that the water is starting to freeze. I can’t feel your love or my feet. In a bare knuckled fight, I lost my grace and sight to the blindness that puts you at ease. Darlin’, are you stuck underneath. Darlin’, are you stuck underneath the ice that I clawed my way out of all alone, all alone?

Verse 2: There are ghosts where our headstones will be and they bide precious time as we lose vital signs to the rhythm of their gnashing teeth. But their hunger will go unfulfilled. On this cold winter’s night, I will plunge in despite of the fact that my pulse will be stilled. Darlin’, and yours will still beat. Darlin’, and yours will still beat, despite that mine hangs in the balance, all alone, all alone.

Track Name: Old Words, New Chapters
Verse 1: Though I may move mountains, I must be aware of my steps lest I, the mountains, let alone my efforts sink to the depths of the sea.

Chorus: I’m putting old words in new chapters. I’ve got my mind upon my heart and my heart upon your soul.

Verse 2: I’m a main street south paw with a broken jaw from all the words that I’ve been spittin’ out. Bound for the south, a yankee boy’s about to take his cues from the diet of his daily news. Choosing to refuse to ever compromise the letters for the betterment of ever getting paid from 9 to 5. Never tried to stay alive without a song for a supper or a six string by my side.

(Chorus).

Bridge: Though I may move mountains, I must be aware of my steps lest I, the mountains, let alone my efforts sink to the depths of the sea.
